Overview
Aquarius is a high performance sailing yacht - very light for her size and designed to sail at high speeds. She embodies the Nautor's Swan vision of a top class one-design racer. Aquarius utilizes the most advanced building techniques and materials, without compromising on the classic lines and beautifully crafted interiors associated with every Swan built. The extensive use of carbon fiber in her structure makes this model particularly stiff for her weight and capable of outstanding performance.
The result is a truly competitive model with an exciting one-design class that can enjoy very close racing, without the restrictions of stripped out racers that make few concessions to cruising comfort.
She was developed and maintained by a professional team drawing upon the knowledge of race skipper Russell Coutts to ensure that she will be the fastest and best prepared Swan 601 on the water.
She was developed and maintained by a professional team drawing upon the knowledge of race skipper Russell Coutts to ensure that she will be the fastest and best prepared Swan 601 on the water.
Aquarius (former Artemis) has been continually optimized and improved to make her a quick and competitive yacht not only in her one design class but in IRC, IMS and CSA racing as well. Recently Aquarius was fitted with a bow sprit to improve speed, ease of boat handling and performance under IRC rating formula. 2008 Results include 1st place Race 1 of the Caribbean Big Boat Series, St. Maarten 3rd place Heineken Regatta, St. Maarten 1st place Rolex International Regatta, St. Thomas. 1st place Newport to Bermuda! Third place Rolex New York Yacht Club Newport.
